It’s simply beyond imagination to see the former Prime Minister  Mr. Mike Eman campaigning again after his disastrous administration from 2009 to 2017. He said a year ago he would retire out of politics, seen his party lost over 10.000 votes and that was clearly a sign of rejection of the Aruban electorate. His crooked AVP party didn’t only left our tiny country in a lot of economic, financial, cultural and social distressed but he practically left our dushi Aruba flat similar to what happens when category 7 hurricanes hit the Caribbean area. I will quote from a Central Bureau Statistic report Aruba Multi Dimensional Poverty Index 2010.

On average, according to the results (A) presented in table 1, the poor in Aruba is deprived in about 4 out of the 10 indicators. Furthermore table 1 shows that even as the intensity of poverty experienced is relatively the same in all regions of Aruba, the AMPI (the adjusted headcount ratio) is highest in San Nicolas due to the larger proportion of households that are considered poor in San Nicolas.

San Nicolas North and San Nicolas South had the highest headcount ratio.

In addition to scoring a high headcount ratio and having a high AMPI score, San Nicolas has a relatively high proportion of households in severe poverty, especially San Nicolas South. About 29 and 28 percent of the poor households in respectively San Nicolas South and San Nicolas North are considered to be in severe poverty. However, the highest proportions of multi dimensionally poor households that are in severe poverty are found in Santa Cruz and in Paradera (30.2 percent, and 29.9 percent, respectively).

So Badman is coming to the Village this weekend which is like the report above said the poorest area and that’s why he will give you a “Saco” and then what? For the last 8 years  the AVP government ignored San Nicolas. A crooked refinery deal they hid more than 2000 pages from MEP representatives in parliament. They destroyed IMSAN and gave the Cardiology services to Horacio Oduber Hospital. No attention to our beach areas and the infrastructure is totally outdated in the Colony. What a shame. I envision a complete new economic sectors and job creation for young professionals for San Nicolas, even the Medical tourism was ignored under Badman’s leadership. So now he talks about Love and Needs? Must be joking.

The new administration under the leadership of Mrs. Evelyn Wever Croes is doing great things for San Nicolas on all fronts. The goal is to empower the people of San Nicolas and encourage less dependency and marginalization. Projects of all sorts are been implemented to work on the uplifting of our citizens. I pledge to San Nicolas a new and prosperous development and no more economic segregation with so many structural setbacks. I am grateful for your support and ask you for your continued cooperation to keep on working for our country and giving San Nicolas it’s fair share.
