                      Rev. Father Sydney Michael Jacob

 

passed away peacefully at his home on July 12, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family and loved ones. As an ordained priest, Fr. Jacob served faithfully and diligently in various parishes in the Diocese of the North Eastern Caribbean and Aruba.

 

Father Jacob is survived by his: 

Wife: Avlyn Jacob-Williams

Daughter and Son-In-Law: Rochelle and Jermaine Richardson-Jacob

Grandson: Jaden Richardson

 

Father Jacob was predeceased by his:

Parents: Nathaniel and Alice Maud Jacob-Gipson

Sister: Lucille Jacob

 

Relatives:

Sisters: Camilla Nicholson-Jacob and Virginia Edwin

Brother:  Winston Cleveland Jacob

Niece and Nephews: Zaida, David, and Albert Wilmans

Cousins:  Modesta Warner, Ingrid Isaac, and Marilyn Isaac-La Cruz, Nelly Isaac

Tanchi: Mary Defoe-Richardson

Sisters- in- law: Sonia Mongford, Brenda Bridges,Vincia, Charmaine, and Shenette Williams

Brothers-in-law: Carlyle Nicholson, Everton and George Williams Jr

 

Friends:

Erich and Judith Menig, Marlene Gumbs, Mello, Dampi Damberg, Andy and Michelle Osbourne, Lissy Lampe, Fr. Hans Jansen, and Fr. Jairo Maduro, Suzette Vlaun, the Goedgedrag family, Marlene Brooks & staff of the Machebo Beach Resort

The family of Reverend Fr. Jacob would like to make special mention of his voluntary activities in the community: FAVI, FUNARI, Women’s Club of Aruba, UNAIDS (Aruba), AIB, Junta de Bombero Dominicano in San Nicolaas, Aruba, and St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux Youth Group in Toronto, Canada.

 

Condolences will take place on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m.

at the Inmaculada Concepcion Church in St. Cruz. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Instead of flowers or wreaths, a donation to FAVI will be highly appreciated.

No condolences after the funeral. We thank you for your understanding.
