ORANJESTAD – A group of Freewinds crew members visited Colegio Arubano on Wednesday to give a training lesson on how to disinfect against Covid-19 with Decon 7. This training was provided to the Operational Manager of the school, Fook Chong, and three of his staff. Also attending this training were four firefighters from the Aruba Fire Service. They were shown how Decon 7 is prepared and then applied in the most effective ways to kill the Covid-19 virus. Decon 7, or D7, is capable of neutralizing 99.999% of all bacteria and viruses. D7 is considered by the United States Environmental Protection Agency to be the most effective means of combating disease-causing microorganisms, and it is eco-friendly.
After the training session was completed the Freewinds crew demonstrated the application of the D7, sanitizing several classrooms, so that the persons being trained could observe the proper procedures.
Mr. Chong and his staff were very impressed with the presentation, but more importantly with how simple the procedures are in order to sanitize a space making it free of not only the Covid-19 virus, but all other types of bacteria and viruses. Mr. Chong said, “Colegio Arubano would like to thank the crew of the Freewinds, especially Port Captain Ken Weber, who immediately accepted our petition to disinfect our school. We also appreciate the team of Freewinds crew who have trained our personnel and thereafter disinfected our classrooms in a professional manner. These classrooms will be prepared for the coming exams.”
With the number of Covid-19 cases lessening it is not time to rest easy, but rather keep the attack going against this virus with the purpose of not only bringing the number of cases to zero, but also to reduce the possibility of it coming back.
