The Coronavirus pandemic, now felt on a global level, has led to the closure of borders and/ or flights being cancelled and as a result thereof are several visitors stranded in Aruba. Technically, their allowed stay period on the island has either recently expired or is about to expire in the near future. In light of the aforementioned circumstances, the Minister of Justice, Security and Integration has introduced a temporary grace period policy allowing those stranded visitors on the island to remain up until April 17, 2020. The policy can be adapted accordingly if the general circumstances change.
