Aruba Bank to reimburse customers within 24 hours
Thursday, October 13, 2022—This morning Aruba Bank identified that some customers that have a Debit Card, discovered “unauthorized charges” on their account. We have determined that this was caused through e-commerce merchants who were compromised. Meanwhile these international merchants have been blocked.
The bank has identified the customers who have been affected. To mitigate the risk, the bank has temporarily deactivated the e-commerce option. This will be restored once the situation is solved. All other Debit Card transactions can continue as usual.
Aruba Bank will reimburse all customers that have been affected within 24 hours.
In case there are customers who do not see the reimbursement on their account within 24 hours, they may reach out to our Contact Center via WhatsApp: +297-592-7777, Email: [email protected], or via Telephone +297-527-7777
