The Freewinds teams up again with the Aruba Sport Unie and Mr. Wiwi Pina to bring real happiness to the Youth participating at the Summer Camp thanks to The Way To Happiness booklets, a moral guide to better living because despite what else is happening in the world, Aruba is still helping their children making sure this Summer Camp offers a refuge where the children not only can have fun and enjoy the sport activities but where they will learn the values that will contribute to make them into future valuable citizens of this beautiful, happy island.
In a race against the increasing level of crime and violence the Freewinds have partnered with several important members of the community, such as Mr. Gerald Franca and Mr. Wiwi Pina of Aruba Sports Unie to distribute hundreds of The Way to Happiness booklets in Papiamento, in an a two-year long effort to show the youth of the island that life can truly be a path that leads to happiness for themselves, their families and the community at large.
Moral values are the bricks that build the fortress that surrounds every child so they can walk safely while they learn to construct a better future. This is something that Mr. Pina believes deeply as he stated: “Thanks for the presence of the Freewinds! You have a good program that emphasizes moral principles. These booklets are given to the kids but I’m sure they are going to help the parents to be better guides for their children. These kids still don’t have a vision of how life is structured and they need to be guided through correct moral principles.”
Mr. Pina is in favor of activities that help guide the youth away from harm and provide them with values and tools that can assist in making them even better persons as they grow up with a desire to help others.
The Way to Happiness is a non-religious moral code based wholly on common sense, authored by L. Ron Hubbard and originally published in 1981 to help reverse the moral decay of society by restoring trust and honesty.
