Jam Jazz Appreciation Month & International Jazz Day 2021

This Friday 30 April 2021 is officially heralded as the International Jazz Day by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Commemorated since 2011 “to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people in all corners of the globe”, this year marks its second lustrum (10 years). Here at home, we celebrate this special day with a virtual concert named: ‘Walking Turtle Entertainment & Vibration PR & Media Presents: Jam Jazz Appreciation Month & International Jazz Day’ concert.

Under the careful guidance of Mr. Carlos Bislip, music educator, legendary musician, and Jazz enthusiast, the Jam Jazz Appreciation Month has slowly transformed to become a can’t-miss cultural event for members of all ages in our community.

Following the latest trend, this year’s edition will be streamed virtually this Friday 30 April 2021 via a LIVE recording at the Reina Conference Center starting from 8:00 PM on both Carlos Bislip’s Jazz Expo Facebook Page and Aruba TV Channel 49 – and will feature the Jazzy, mellow tunes of Johnny Scharbaay’s Trio, Caribbean Combo with special guest Jean Claude Richardson, and Carlos Bislip & Friends.

Securing funding in these challenging times has been an incredible endeavor for all musicians, artists, and creatives. It is for this reason that we must extend our sincerest gratitude to our private funding partners who have made this commemoration possible. A special thank you to the Kickstart Cultuurfonds, which is supported by Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Nederland, BankGirlo Loterij, VSBfonds, VandenEnde Foundation, and the Prins Bernhard Cultuurfonds Caribisch Gebied (PBCCG). Also, thanks to the Departamento di Cultura (DCA), SETAR, CLIFFIX Musical, and Vibration PR & Media. We could not have made this without your valuable support.

Tune-in with your family and friends for a serial Jam night under the soothing sounds of the Jazz!
