ORANJESTAD, Aruba – 29 di Mei, 2020:  Riba invitacion di Minister di Turismo, Salubridad Publico, y Deporte, Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association (AHATA) a reuni ayera cu Ministerio di Salubridad, DVG, y Aruba Tourism Authority. Durante e reunion a expresa cual preocupacion ta reina den cada seno y a discuti loke e expertonan di sector publico ta trahando riba dje pa finalisa un plan pa reapertura di Aruba su turismo.

 

Tur ta di acuerdo cu ta importante pa Aruba por habri frontera pa nos economia por lanta bek y pa tin entrada di divisas. Tur ta di acuerdo tambe cu ta importante pa tin un plan pa minimalisa e importacion di caso nobo di COVID-19 y pa sigura cu un segundo ola ta manehabel pa nos infrastructura di salubridad. AHATA a ricibi siguransa cu autoridadnan di Aruba ta finalisando nan analisis y plan pa apertura di frontera cu tur cautela. Reunionnan lo continua y DVG lo sigui cu su disponibilidad pa duna informacion, guia y dialogo. AHATA a aprecia e invitacion pa e reunion y ta aprecia cu lo sigui cu dialogo den e dianan nos dilanti. 

 

 

 

AHATA continues dialogue with Ministry of Tourism and Public Health

 

ORANJESTAD, Aruba – May 29th, 2020: The Minister of Tourism, Public Health and Sport invited the Aruba Hotel & Tourism Association to a meeting yesterday with the Ministry of Health, Department of Public Health, and Aruba Tourism Authority. During the meeting various concerns and points of view were exchanged.  In addition, the efforts by the public sector experts to finalize a plan for Aruba’s reopening were discussed. 

 

All are in agreement that it is important to reopen Aruba’s borders to revive economic activity and import of foreign currency. All agree on the importance of a solid plan to minimize the import of new COVID-19 cases so our healthcare system can support a potential second wave of the virus. AHATA received assurances that the authorities are finalizing their analysis and plan for the opening of Aruba’s airport. Meetings shall continue and DVG continues to make themselves available for information and dialogue. AHATA appreciates that dialogue shall continue in the days ahead.
