AAA welcomed Sun Country to Aruba
ORANJESTAD – Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) was very pleased to welcome the passengers on board Sun Country’s inaugural flight to Aruba from Minneapolis last Saturday, December 23, 2017. After announcing this new service in May 2017, both AAA and Sun Country were excited for the aircraft’s arrival to the island.
“With the addition of Aruba to our destinations, we look forward to giving our Midwest travelers the opportunity to travel to an internationally renowned Caribbean island in the midst of our winter season,” said Mr. Zarir Erani, Sun Country Airlines President and CEO. “We are eager to begin partnering with Queen Beatrix International Airport so our travelers can experience everything the island has to offer.”
AAA CEO Mr. James Fazio also expressed his excitement with this new service provided by Sun Country “This new service has been on our wish list for some time and we’re happy that Santa listened to us and the Minneapolis passengers! This new route will give visitors from Minneapolis/ St. Paul and the surrounding areas a new and more convenient way to visit our beautiful island. Sun Country’s seasonal flight to Aruba will be offered from December 2017 through April 2018 via Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport, Terminal 2. The service to Aruba includes one flight per week, departing on Saturdays. The type B737-800 aircraft arrives at 4:55 pm and has a 168 seat capacity.
